Other Masonic Links

There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of Masonic links currently residing on the Web. We have listed some of the more relevant and interesting sites below, although you are encouraged to investigate others simply by entering "Mason" or "Freemason" within any search engine.

Grand Lodge of New Jersey - The official website of the Grand Lodge of New Jersey of Free and Accepted Masons.

Scottish Rite - The Scottish Rite is an appendant body that a Master Mason may join for further exposure to the principles of Freemasonry. It builds upon the ethical teachings and philosophies offered in the Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason degrees (1°-3°) through the dramatic presentation of additional degrees. There are four Scottish Rite bodies: the Lodge of Perfection (4°–14°), the Council of Princes of Jerusalem (15°–16°), the Chapter of Rose Croix (17°–18°), and the Consistory (19°–32°). The Supreme Council confers the 33° of Sovereign Grand Inspector General.

York Rite - Another major appendant body of Freemasonry that a Master Mason may join is the York Rite, which is actually three separate Rites: 1) the Capitular Rite or Royal Arch Masons, 2) the Cryptic Rite or Cryptic Masons, and 3) the Chivalric Orders or Knights Templar. Unlike other Masonic bodies which only require a belief in a Supreme Being regardless of religion, the Knights Templar is Christian-based; its members must promise to defend the Christian faith.

The Shrine and the Shriners’ Hospitals - Another appendant body open to Master Masons is the Shrine. The Shrine of North America is an international fraternity of approximately 525,000 Masons, and is often referred to as the 'playground of Masonry'. The Shrine's official philanthropy is the world-renowned Shriners’ Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 hospitals that provide expert orthopedic and burn care to children under 18 - free of charge, and regardless of the family’s Masonic affiliation. The Shriners’ Hospitals are one of the most outstanding examples of the charitable contributions that have been made over the years by Freemasons.

George Washington Masonic Memorial - The George Washington Masonic National Memorial is a beautiful, impressive 333 ft. edifice resting on historic Shooters Hill in Alexandria, Virginia, just one mile from the Potomac River and overlooking Washington, DC. Dedicated to the memory of George Washington - Patriot, General, President, and Freemason - the Memorial was constructed entirely with voluntary contributions made by members of the Masonic Fraternity. It is a visible expression of the Fraternity's faith in the principles of civil and religious liberty and orderly government. Inside the Memorial are a museum, a Lodge of Research, an assembly hall, an auditorium, and various rooms devoted to several Masonic organizations. The Memorial is open all year (free of charge) to Masons as well as non-Masons. Regardless of your interest in Masonry, if you are ever in our nation’s capitol, you may want to visit this remarkable edifice.

Masonic Service Association - Formed in 1919, MSA provides services to its member Grand Lodges.

Masonic Information Center - This organization, founded in 1993, is a division of The Masonic Service Association. Its purpose is to provide information on Freemasonry to Masons and non-Masons alike, and to respond to the critics of Freemasonry.

A page about Freemasonry - An informative web site containing a variety of interesting essays and articles.

New Jersey DeMolay - DeMolay is a Masonic youth organization dedicated to teaching young men (ages 12 to 21) to be better persons and leaders. Under the advisorship of adults, leadership skills, civic awareness, responsibility, and character development are learned through a variety of self directed, real world applications and activities. DeMolay builds confidence; teaches responsibility, cooperation and community service; and fosters trust, respect, fellowship, patriotism, reverence, and sharing.

Ethan Allen DeMolay Chapter  - The Ethan Allen Chapter meets at Fidelity Masonic Lodge #113, located at 99 South Maple Avenue in Ridgewood, NJ. Fulton Friendship Lodge is a proud supporter of this local chapter of the New Jersey DeMolay.
