Master's Notes

Greetings from the East.

My Brothers,

I would like to thank the officers who showed up as well as the Brothers from the other Lodges on our Entered Apprentice degree

Let us all catch our breath and enjoy the St. Patrick's Day party on March 15th. This event is to make up for the missed Holiday Party that was cancelled due to the snowstorm. Please RSVP.

There are still seats available for the Candidates Night at the Brownstone on March 31st. We already bought the tickets. Just let us know if you want to attend. We will be carpooling from from the Lodge.

We have an Official Visit on April 1rst. We have to do an Opening, Closing, and Fellowcraft degree.

Afterwards, that Friday, April 7th, the Prince Hall Brethren have formally invited us up to their Lodge in Patterson. We will be carpooling from FFL on that event as well.

Let the Lodge know if you plan to attend Grand Lodge in Atlantic City in late April.

Finally, we have a few weeks of practice and then there is our Fellowcraft Degree at the end of April. Let's do Great Work!

Fraternally,

Worshipful Master

REFLECTIONS FROM THE EAST

What is the importance of ritual? It is the changing of one good man to a better one. That event should be transformational, positive, positive, and beneficial to the candidate as well as those Brothers whor are performing the work. There is a deep meaning behind all of this work. In essence we are performing an alchemical transmutation of mankind.

Yes, the use of the word alchemy makes people think that one wants to turn lead into gold. Profane gold. No, it is something beyond the soulless materialism that is so often being promoted into the world. If the ritual is really done correctly with the recpient wishing to receive Masonic Light, then the work is being don as intended.

This means that the right canditate for the Masonic Work to be done is crutial. You cannot ask a bad individual to be a Mason. That is the work of Religion. We are a fraternal order with a structure that works on a different level.

Ours ritual is to transform.

Fraternally,

Worshipful Master
